Privacy Policy
Effective 15 October 2026. Operated by Gadgets Planet.
This policy explains what personal data Gadgets Planet ("we", "us") collects through gadgetsplanet.com, why, and the choices you have. It is written to meet the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 of India.
1. What we collect
- Email address, if you subscribe to our deal alerts.
- Messages you send us, including your name and email.
- Usage data such as pages viewed, device and browser type, approximate location and IP address, collected through cookies and analytics tools.
We do not have user accounts or take payments on the site at present, and we do not knowingly collect sensitive personal data.
2. Why we use it
- To send the newsletter you asked for.
- To reply to your messages.
- To understand which content is useful and to keep the site secure and working.
- To meet legal obligations.
3. Consent
We rely on your consent, which you give by subscribing or contacting us, and you can withdraw it at any time. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also write to us.
4. Cookies and third parties
We use cookies for analytics and site features. When you click an affiliate link, the retailer (for example Amazon or Flipkart) may set its own cookies to record that we referred you, and their privacy policy applies from that point. Embedded content and links to Instagram, Facebook and YouTube are governed by those platforms' policies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not work.
5. Sharing
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us run the site and email (such as hosting, analytics and email delivery), and with authorities when the law requires it. Those providers may process data on servers outside India.
6. Retention and security
We keep data only as long as needed for the purposes above. Newsletter emails are deleted after you unsubscribe, apart from a record needed to honour your request. We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards, but no online system is completely secure.
7. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you can ask to access a summary of your data, correct or update it, erase it, and nominate someone to exercise your rights if you cannot. You can also complain to us first and then to the Data Protection Board of India. Contact us through our social media pages and we aim to reply within 30 days.
8. Children
This site is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, tell us and we will delete it.
9. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time and will post changes here with a new effective date.
